No matter what goes into our mouths, if we are not aware of our intent, our thoughts may present the greatest impediment to weight loss. For this reason, mindful eating can be more effective than the quality of our food in achieving ideal weight and for increasing energy and vitality overall.

Our bodily shape, composition and overall health are many times more dependent on our beliefs than the food we consume. Most of us experience struggle and deprivation when looking to reduce our weight because we believe these feelings to be a necessary part of the process.

Every one of the trillions of cells that make up the human body is infused with the same life-force energy that allows us to sense and experience the material world. However, cellular experience of the material world is largely dependent on the messages received from our thoughts for direction in their purpose of contributing to overall health for the whole body.

Specifically, the outer layer of every cell consists of receptors that are tuned to the specific frequency of our brain waves, and the messages supplied by our thoughts are the master of all cellular function. Most of the brain's messages are received from the subconscious mind and delivered to the cells without our conscious awareness. Those subconscious messages follow biological imprints and the conditioning of our subconscious mind through the conscious thoughts that we consistently choose to believe.

Every part of the human body is comprised of these tiny intelligent bodies which base the degree of their receptivity to particular environmental stimulus on the messages being transmitted by our brain. In accordance with our brain’s vibratory messages, every cell absorbs the information being sought and that information is utilized according to programmed cellular memory.

In this way, if we believe that certain food will make us fat, our cells use the nutrients in that food coupled with their functional memory to increase their size. However, because we are born with embedded subconscious beliefs, there are certain foods that we believe will cause weight gain even if we haven’t given it a conscious thought.

While biological programming can be very powerful, it can be transformed through practice in developing the beliefs that serve our purpose.

Depending on individual programming, our subconscious mind may be conditioned to the belief that we gain weight as we age, that we are naturally fat, or that a healthy weight can only be achieved by subjecting ourselves to excruciating workouts. It takes attention and practice to reprogram our subconscious brain and cellular memory, but our effort can free us from the constant mental battle that ultimately compromises our health and general sense of well being.

By consistently choosing thoughts that support a healthy physique over time, we gradually change our mind and create our body accordingly. But because changing deep seated beliefs takes time and effort, weight loss is more efficiently attained when we also suffuse our cells with the physical materials most recognized by our cells as supportive to their integrity.

Since we are deeply programmed to be dependent on food for survival, and the human body has evolved over millions of years to rely on particular nutrients, our overall health is supported by food that contains high nutrient content and is easily digested. The most recognizable and utilizable nutrients to human cells come from raw meat, raw animal fat, and variable amounts of vegetation depending on our ancestry.

This is because our biological cellular memory and mental programming has not yet adapted to the belief that we can be nourished by food that we have only made edible over the past several thousand years (a very short period of time in human evolution). Moreover, since the time we have introduced denatured food, we have also increased the occupation of our minds whereby we no longer focus attention to our intent when consuming food.

By mostly choosing food that is similar to what nature used to evolve the human body over millions of years, we supply our cells with the material substances that our cells instinctually know how to use in creating optimal health. If you don't like or cannot eat raw meat and raw animal fat, then lightly cook it. (Please see the article: Nutrition for Radiant Health for some helpful guidelines in this regard).

However, no matter what goes into our mouths, if we are not aware of our intent, our thoughts may present the greatest impediment to weight loss. For this reason, mindful eating can be more effective than the quality of our food in achieving ideal weight and for increasing energy and vitality overall.

But the combination of predominantly eating the foods that are efficiently utilized by cells, coupled with mindful awareness of our intent as we eat makes weight loss a particularly easy and Joyful journey.

To practice eating with awareness, clear your mind of all distractions and focus all of your senses on the food you are enjoying. Notice how it smells, feels, tastes, looks and even sounds as you chew the food.

Imagine that what you are eating is giving your body exactly what it needs to create your ideal body weight, muscle tone and overall health. If you are eating something other than raw meat and/or raw fat, chew your food completely until it becomes a liquid in your mouth and remember to smile while fully enjoying your food.

Finally, stay aware of thoughts about weight throughout the day, and notice how they make you feel. When you feel discomfort in the form of stress, tension, worry or fear around the issue of weight, gently redirect your thoughts to the mental image of your ideal physique, and feel the Joy that having your ideal body evokes in your heart center.

As you practice this, your cells become more receptive to the possibilities that lead to the body that you want. By exercising conscious effort to direct our thoughts, everything else becomes easier because subconscious awareness naturally attracts the information that supports our deepest beliefs.

Be conscious of your thoughts and nourish your cells to achieve the body weight is a true testament to the beautiful being that you are.

6-10 Whole Lemons for Juicing

1 TBL Mango Chutney

3 TBL Raw Mayonnaise

3 TBL Curry Powder

1 Fistful Currants (like small raisins)

Place cut chicken in a glass or ceramic container and cover with lemon juice. Marinate chicken for (4) days. This will keep the chicken raw, but give it a “cooked” consistency which makes it easy to mix with other ingredients. Marinating will also keep the chicken fresh for a long period of time.

When the chicken is placed in the marinade it’s a good time to prepare the Mango chutney and Mayonnaise. Both recipes last about 2 months in the refrigerator, but it takes a few days for the flavors to mature. (click above links for recipes)

After (4) days strain chicken discarding the lemon juice. Use a clean towel to press the chicken into the strainer to “wring” the lemon juice out. Spread the chicken onto a clean flat surface and continue to blot with the towel until the chicken is “moist”, but no longer “wet”.

Place chicken back in a clean glass or ceramic container with lid. Blend the Mango Chutney, Mayonnaise and Curry powder in an 8oz Ball Jar, and mix into chicken – coating it completely. Toss the Currants into the Chicken and stir to distribute evenly. Marinate the chicken for 1 day, and enjoy.

Chicken can also be transferred to smaller jars, such as Ball Jars for individual servings.

Let the guilt go and enjoy what you like. One way to improve health is to feel better about yourself.

You can make slight changes toward improved health by incorporating all or any of the following:

- whenever possible, eat a meal which includes plenty of uncooked fat and raw or lightly cooked grass-fed meat or raw fish.

- making or purchasing fresh organic veggie juice (no fruit or carrots - make the base celery or tomato) whenever possible.

- buying raw milk from grass-fed cows which are free of hormones and antibiotics; and having that as your drink whenever you feel like having something cold and satisfying.

If I were to eat a meal with cooked meat and/or fats, I would add something fermented to aid my digestion. I think pickled ginger would compliment this meal well.

You don't have to make any big commitment to health. Just make small comfortable changes, and see where they take you.

Eating natural foods in a form that is easily recognized, absorbed, assimilated, utilized and eliminated supports the radiant body for a lifetime.

Nutrition is a very important component of our health. Every nutrient, anti-nutrient and toxic substance has an effect on the body, and that determines our health, beauty, energy levels and vitality.

Eating natural foods in a form that is easily recognized, absorbed, assimilated, utilized and eliminated supports the radiant body for a lifetime.

Fat:

Uncooked fat which has not been heated above 118° Fahrenheit is extremely healthy and beneficial to our bodies.

That’s right! The most feared nutrient in America is actually the most important one for beauty, vibrant health, fitness, weight loss, brain function, toxin elimination, mood elevation, a feeling of satiety and more. It has been disparaged by the media and through education as something that makes us gain weight, and thus should be consumed in very limited quantities.

Fat goes with everything, and it’s a good idea to eat raw fat with everything. Below are some examples of good quality fat:

All Raw:

- Butter, cream, whole milk

- Fatty wild salmon or yellow tail

- Cold pressed coconut, olive or nut oils

- Avocado

- Coconut

- Cacao Butter

Unprocessed foods:

Consider buying as few foods from boxes or cans as possible. Eat whole unprocessed and preferably uncooked food – this means fruit, vegetable juice, meat, dairy, eggs, fish and oils.

Since conventional animal products and produce have been seriously degraded by current farming standards, it’s very important to adhere to the following:

Beef, red meat and dairy products should be organic and from 100% grass-fed animals.

Organic means the animal was given no hormones or antibiotics, and only ate chemical-free food.

100% grass-fed preserves the proper Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio making beef and other red meat a very healthy food.

Dairy products only have health benefits when raw (not pasteurized and not homogenized).

i. Pasteurized means heated to kill the bacteria. When you have healthy cows, the milk only contains beneficial bacteria which are great for digestion; and enzymes which are catalysts for every bodily process. When dairy is heated, dead bacteria and enzymes remain which cause allergies and illness.

ii. Homogenization is used to crush the fat molecules in milk so that the fat does not rise to the top. This changes the molecules to a form that is harmful to the body.

Chicken and eggs from animals that were free to graze on grass and bugs, and were fed the least amount of soy possible. Not only is soy an unhealthy food for people, but it also negatively affects the Omega profile and taste while it increases toxicity in chicken and eggs.

Fish should be fresh and wild – with the exception of muscles like oyster and clam, farmed fish is given substandard feed which negatively affects the nutritional content. Most fish is contaminated with mercury. So it is of utmost importance to eat fish raw so that the mercury can be easily excreted from the body. If it is eaten with plenty of raw fat, or fatty fish is eaten, raw fish can chelate mercury previously stored in the body.

Fruit should be fresh and organic or preferably biodynamic so that the body does not have to process the toxic residue from chemical fertilizers or sprays.

Vegetable nutrients are encased within cellulose which cannot be easily accessed by the action of the human digestive tract. However, the nutrients are very much available when vegetables are juiced but not pasteurized. Alternatively, vegetables can be eaten lightly steamed.

Follow your instincts – when choosing from whole foods as described above, eat as much as desired while paying attention to how the food makes you feel – using trial and error to get the proper balance.

Processed Food:

Nuts, seeds, whole grains and legumes aka beans have to go through a process of soaking and sprouting in order to be digestible. Specifically, these foods naturally contain enzyme inhibitors which impede digestion, and phytic acid which also blocks the absorption of many minerals in the intestines.

Eating the non-soaked and sprouted version of these foods leads to mineral deficiencies, bone loss, and suppressed thyroid function.

Once sprouted, nuts and seeds can be made into butter or dehydrated so that they are crispy. Grains and legumes can be further processed by cooking.

Grain is a sugar spiking, mucous-forming food with few available nutrients. If making grain a staple food for budgetary reasons, in addition to soaking/sprouting, it is beneficial to combine slow-cooked homemade broth with every meal.

Water:

Our bodies need as much water as we desire. While water is essential for radiant health, too much water bloats the cells and puts extra stress on the kidneys. Fresh, raw food contains a high water content which is easily processed for efficient hydration. Thus, supplemental water may not be necessary unless we are subject to very hot weather or we engage in strenuous exercise.

The quality of water is far more important than the amount because whatever is not absorbed by the cells puts stress on the system that counteracts the hydration benefit. Water is most beneficial to the body when it’s free of harmful chemicals, it contains a natural balance of minerals and the molecules are small enough to be absorbed by the cells.

The best water contains little or no contaminants from pollution and has been filtered through the Earth. When water filters through the earth, it picks up a vibration that can synchronize the rhythm of the body to its ideal frequency.

Next to fresh unheated vegetable juice, good water is the healthiest drink choice. Herbal tea is beneficial in moderation. However, caffeine dehydrates the body and taxes organs and glands, thus it’s best to steer clear of coffee and other stimulants as much as possible.

A wonderful tonic that can increase energy consists of still mineral water with 2 TBL apple cider vinegar, juice of a lime and a tablespoon of unheated honey. This may create a mild nauseas feeling at first, while the body is eliminating large amounts of surface toxins. But, this is an amazing energy drink that enhances vitality more and more over time.

Soda is just a concoction of chemicals which are very damaging to the body. A healthy alternative is naturally sparkling (no co2 added) mineral water (Gerolsteiner or Perrier), and a less healthy alternative is natural soda that is made with mineral water and honey or stevia (Dr. Tima).

Artificial sweeteners such as Equal or Splenda are neurotoxins and should not be consumed by anyone under any circumstance.
