Escape from Pain and Suffering

I know better than to try and escape pain and suffering by running to thought for solutions. The best that can come of it is temporary relief through the denial of what is…which is a set up for more extreme suffering in the future.

Thinking is what moves me to deny my position as pure awareness in the first place. And as soon as I stop looking for solutions in thought, I’m naturally moved to observe insane thought patterns as the root cause of whatever form of misery has arisen in me.

As for rational solutions, they arise spontaneously, as I am gracefully moved to express the love and compassion that prevails in the mind of God….who dwells within Me.

No End to Resistance

Unlimited ImaginationThere is no end to resistance as long as we are manifested in a creative environment because the sensation of resistance exposes our presently held limitations and informs the course toward new limitations more in alignment our creative visions and heartfelt desires.

We are all aspects of creativity, unlimited beings with our unique visions and expressions being an integral part of the tapestry of this limitation-based ‘reality’. Resistant feeling is like a signpost that invites us to stretch imagination beyond that which we currently hold to be true in order to shift ‘reality’ toward the creative visions and heartfelt desires we hold for ourselves and for our world.

Seeing resistant feeling as something wrong is of itself the cause of frustration, pain and suffering as it holds us to mental patterns that continually recreate what’s already known.

Nothing is ever going wrong! Resistance is a Gift, but as long as we perceive it as a curse, we make it so.

The ongoing practice of receiving the Gift is to recognize when resistant feeling arises, and watch the accompanying thoughts as if watching a show, movie or play, and notice how the feeling moves and evolves. If resistance is acted upon, that’s ok. We simply return to watching as soon as possible.

This practice uses resistance to bring unconscious beliefs into awareness, where they can easily and automatically be resolved. Each of us is invited to do this for ourselves and for the world, and to keep going until every upset is met with compassion, appreciation and peace.

Familial Obligations

All obligations are made up, including Familial Obligations.

To the extent you feel obligated to make your family members happy with you, your own experience of enjoyment is being resisted. Likewise, to the extent you expect your family members to make you happy, your own experience of enjoyment is being resisted.

Allowing Freedom for You and all others, as individual creators of their own experience, opens new energetic channels whereby you can experience more enjoyment than ever thought possible. Sometimes this means setting boundaries between your individual self and family members who insist that you are responsible for their dis-ease.

You are worthy of more Joy than you can presently imagine. By recognizing your obligations as FALSE, you give your self permission to go there.

Happy New World!!

In Appreciation, ALL is a Precious Gift and there is noThing to Resist. In Attachment, there is an Unlimited Parade of things that “Need” to be Resisted for Fear of Losing that which you have Deemed “Precious” in Comparison to What you Do NOT Want.

The Movement from Appreciation to Attachment is Subtle yet Profound. You’re Invited to Watch how the Mind Leads you From Enjoying someThing to a Need to Protect, Defend and/or Hoard that Thing.

Just Watching this Inner Movement, without Needing to Effectuate any Change, Illuminates and Dissolves Mental Patters that Defile your Spirit. AND in Turn, the Physical Reflections of those Mental Patterns Lose Power in This World.

"Should" is the Language of Delusion

Releasing “should” and “should not” from our mental dictionary is not about whether anyone should or should not take action – it’s about choosing action based on intuition rather than pursuant to our mental perception of what “should” or “should not” be done.

“Should” and “should not” are always based on mental perceptions of what we think we are supposed to do in certain situations. While doing exactly what is expected can be the same action that is in our best interest, action that emanates from our connection with Consciousness always serves our purpose.

The mind is programmed to offer thoughts that grip to expected outcomes in exchange for our action, and that is why awareness must be a CONSISTENT practice in order to be effective. When we think in terms of “should” and “should not, we create attachment to our desires – which detracts from the pure Joy experienced when action is offered as its own reward.

Attachment is delusion, and due to our worldly conditioning, we are naturally attuned to the patterns of mind that keep us bound to delusion through ego identification. Being in the present moment means acting in innocence, without the expectation that we will achieve any particular outcome as a result of our efforts.

By remembering that the journey is the destination, we may be reminded that how we feel Now is our prayer for the future that is always being created Now. Through attentiveness to our own thoughts and feelings and consistently directing our attention back to Now, we develop the overview necessary to more easily determine where we are gripping, and the trust necessary to surrender to the present moment.

Desire and even our Attachment to Desire is not a hinderance to spiritual development.  Our experience of desire is the call of Source summoning us to evolve our awareness toward greater understanding of Self; and while Attachment to Desire is what keep us bound to delusion, resisting anything is in itself a form of Attachment – which can only perpetuate our delusion. However, both Attachment and Desire are inherent to the human experience, and they evoke inner guidance in the form of emotion. (See Every Emotion has Meaning for more on “emotion”)

If we are spending our energy trying to avoid or deny either Desire or Attachment, we are laboriously creating more of both as our awareness is buried more deeply in the delusion of mind. However, when we understand, embrace and enjoy both Desire and our Attachment to it (and all delusion for that matter), we return to being present automatically, and gain deeper understanding thereby.

We can only be damned or blessed through the perception of the mind. By minding the mind, we develop the ability to discern which thoughts keep us directed toward the center – where blessings abound and peace prevails.

Every Emotion has Meaning

Every emotion is perfect based on all thought that has come before. Through emotional activity, we are being directed by consciousness as to how we can evolve our energetic expression to achieve a higher frequency.

When we experience an emotion that evokes our desire for change, that’s a wonderful thing because desire is the voice of our creative aspect summoning us to evolve our awareness and grow.  We accept that invitation by accepting ourselves fully, exactly as we are Now.

Only from the perspective of acceptance do we become receptive to thoughts that allow our evolution to be more in alignment with our specifications.

On the other hand, if we perceive ourselves to be in need of “improvement”, we make ourselves receptive to resistant thoughts which keep us stuck in what is already known about our present state of being. Any perceived need for improvement causes us to focus on what we WANT as being “better” than what IS, and that prevents us from evolving our present what IS to what can BE.

Specifically, until we can accept our present state of being, we remain focused on what IS, and whatever we focus upon grows in our experience.  But once we have fully accepted who and where we are NOW, our focus shifts toward that which allows us to become MORE.

For example, by deciding that some of our thoughts or emotions are “negative”, the mind perceives our state of being as something wrong that needs to be fixed.  Because this belief is so out of alignment with our true essence, it causes us to attract more thoughts that evoke negative emotion.

Feeling an uncomfortable emotion is an indication that we have forgotten ourselves and we are being summoned to return. Labeling, condemning or trying to change our emotions is not returning, but the offering of more thoughts based in delusion.

Delusion can only exist in darkness, and the moment it is exposed to the Light of awareness, delusion is dissolved thereby. However, the Light can never be attained from a place of delusion until it is allowed through the window of acceptance.

Acceptance is attained by releasing all effort and simply observing our emotion in mental silence. Through unattached observation of the ego as it deals with emotion, we can see through the layers of mind to expose the delusional beliefs that have been impeding our progression.

Through conscious observation, the beliefs that do not resonate with Truth are immediately resolved, along with their emotional charge.  However, because most of our beliefs are deeply ingrained habits in the mind to which we have become attuned, awareness must be a consistent practice in order to dissolve delusional beliefs as they re-emerge and to create new habits of belief in alignment with the true reality.

While no thought or emotion can be more perfect than another, we Do have the power to evolve our experience of NOW toward Blessings like we have never known before. Every emotion is an invitation to practice awareness and make it so.
